I am Nathan Hart, Principal of Hart Architectural Services. I have twenty years of experience in the design of commercial, residential, and institutional architecture. I have served a diverse group of clients including universities, local developers and contractors, non-profit community development groups, and homeowners. I am a 1997 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and have been licensed to practice architecture in Pennsylvania since 2000. I became a LEED accredited professional in 2001.

I am passionate about community service. I served on the Board of Directors of the Oakland Planning and Development Corporation for nearly 15 years, including serving as President of the Board in 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, I served several years as President of the Oakland Community Council. I have also held leadership positions in the Oakland Task Force and sit on the board of the Oakland Transportation Management Association. I served for several years on the board of the Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh and on CMU's Alumni board of Sigma Phi Epsilon. I represented Oakland residents on the Mon-Fayette Design Advisory Team. I am an alumni of Pittsburgh Leadership Development Initiative X.

Over the years, I have received several awards for historic restoration, including awards from both the city and state for Brewer's Row, a project in Pittsburgh's Spring Garden neighborhood. I won a design competition sponsored by Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation with my Oakland Square entry. In 2006, I successfully nominated and guided the neighborhood of Oakland Square to be the City of Pittsburgh's most recent Historic District. In addition, my design for several Guardian Self Storage facilities have garnered awards from the American Builders and Contractors of Western Pennsylvania.

Thank you for your interest in my services. I would be honored for the opportunity to work with you on your next project.
